Live Your Life Without Regret
I want to ask you a question. It’s a deep and probing one so get ready!
There is one guarantee in this life. You will die. If you are 50 or older, it is very likely that you have maybe 30 more years to live. That is 1,560 weeks and approximately 11,000 days.
So here is my question to you:
When all is said and done, will you regret that you did not uncover and take action on your life’s calling before it’s too late?
When I reached my mid-fifties I asked myself this same question. I had already created a good life but I was exhausted and loosing passion for my work. I was a successful acupuncturist and I was suffering. I craved more self-care, more balance and more joy but believed I could not succeed without personal sacrifice and stress.
The day I asked myself if I would die with regret was the day I committed to uncovering my life’s calling.
If I’d continued along that same path, believing I had to suffer to succeed, I would been deeply disappointed that I did not take the risk to find the next level of what I’m here to offer.
I didn’t know it at the time but I my suffering was calling me to something bigger. Your suffering is calling you to something bigger too.
A driving desire to do whatever it takes to uncover your life’s calling before you die is what it takes to begin.
It’s been 4 years since I took the risk to find out what was next for me. It’s not been easy but it’s been exciting, fun and rewarding. To find my life’s calling I’ve had to:
- recognize what was not working
- release it with gratitude rather than fear
- change my limiting mindset
- refine my focus
- develop better habits
- take risks
- hire a great coach
- believe in myself and be reminded when I forget to
This is a “one step at a time” process. All it takes is to recognize your commitment to living without regret and take the first step.
I’ve learned is that there is nothing stopping me, but me.
And there’s nothing stopping you, but you. THE TIME IS NOW!
Life is unpredictable. There’s no waiting until tomorrow.
